I mean seriously. We have all heard the reports that aliens shut down a nuclear launch years ago,... but we are 90 seconds out now from annihilation, and they update the clock January 28th, 2025. If they are here to help, they better hurry.

I doubt aliens would intervene in human affairs. If they exist and are advanced, they likely observe rather than interfere, following a "prime directive" approach. Humanity’s survival depends on our ability to solve crises, climate change, conflict, inequality, through innovation, cooperation, and self-awareness, not external salvation

In a recent conversation I watched, it almost said without saying that if their are other civilizations out there, there would likely be one powerful overlord civilization that exterminates competition rather than intervenes for the benefit of other civilizations. I could call it human nature. Or "alien nature".

I think an intelligent life out there what understands nuclear proliferation and the cause for our combat theaters would be intelligent enough to let us kill ourselves off and then salvage whatever we've left behind that could be helpful to them.
