Why Is the US Government Declassifying UFO Files Now?

About a year and half ago, the US government launched a website to publish declassified UFO-related documents, which were actually solved cases. Do you see this as a genuine transparency, or part of a controlled narrative? Do you think the government is preparing to reveal something shocking to the public, or do you see it as a distraction from other agendas?

Now I do not doubt for a minute that so called disclosures are timed to leak when the powers that be need a distraction. That said, I also believe that if some major information becomes publicly available, it may cause chaos.
