I'm also a fan of him. He's very intelligent but breaks it down for everyone to understand!

The ones who don't are the ones that I find hard to take serious.
 
Neil deGrasse Tyson often emphasizes that advanced aliens would see us as intellectually primitive, like we see ants. He suggests math and physics, being universal languages, are key to communication. Instead of hoping for rescue, we should advance science to make first contact on equal footing.
