Aside from UFOs and ET, what do you all get into for hobbies and interests?

I love forums. I chat on a lot of them, and I run several myself. I'm also big on blogging.

I am an avid outdoorsman. I hike, bike, kayak, spelunk, and camp every chance I get.

How about you all?

As we talked on another forum, I need to get into it myself, mainly for storm spotting and maybe SAR stuff around the area we hike in.
 
I have found in my preperation for testing out that I feel the Technician level will be pretty easy, but the General class will challenge me, and most certainly the Extra level I will have to study hard for. I say this based on my practice test results.

It is really good to know but it is no longer a requirement.

I hope to test out the Tech license very soon. I was wanting to test out the general certs but I haven't had the time to crash study it as soon as needed. One step at a time.

I need to get on it myself.

For me, it would be useful for weather spotting operations.

I'd love to get back into local emergency management again, as well. Ham radio is used a lot in that area.

I'm a surveillance technician by trade so I definitely have that sort of mind.
 
I really like the star wars ones. A couple of them are like a thousand dollars and thousands of pieces.
 
Today I successfully passed the Technician FCC ham license testing. I had the time and at no additional cost, so I did also take the General license test. I did not pass, but I did not study for it at all. It gave me a view of my deficiencies. Give me a couple of months and I will knock that wall down too.

Maybe you can find some flashcard sites out there to help you or see if AI can do it.

That always helped me back in my college days. Well, there wasn't AI but there were a few sites that had flashcard features and I found that to be very helpful.

Actually the books I am buying are very good study guides. Each chapter has bolded elements that are important to remember. Each chapter has a chapter self test. In the back there is an actual sample full test. And even further back are ALL the questions that could be asked, with answers and explanations. Plus they provide a free app to practice tests on for free. (with the ability to buy better access. I only use the free).
