For those who haven't heard of the Ariel School incident that I believe took place in the 90s(?) in Zimbabwe (where have you been?!) here is a Wikipedia link to an article about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariel_School_UFO_incident
I've watched several documentaries exploring this incident, including multiple interviews with teachers and pupils at the school at the time, and for me I believe it's one of the most credible sightings that's ever been reported. Some refer to the incident as a form of "mass hysteria", and while this cannot be ruled out, the consistent accounts from people who didn't meet at the time and haven't met since but were able to provide very specific similar detail to investigators for the documentaries was eerie.
The very young age of the children at the time and just how distressed some appeared to be also suggests to me that it's not simply a case of some kids playing a prank and it's highly likely they did indeed see something very strange and unusual.
If you're interested in finding out more about this incident I would highly recommend watching Ariel Phenomenon - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt20216382/ - this was only released about two years ago and was a great insight into the incident.
